My photography work

I have always been interested in photography and mucked about with my dad's Nikon camera but after taking photography as a subject my fondness for the hobby grew more and more. The concept of coming up with my own theme, my own makeup looks and planning shoots excited me greatly and photography then turned into a daily hobby for me. Being in a family that is mostly camera shy and having me run about the house taking photographs on a regular basis you can imagine my household hiding anytime they see me with a camera to my eye. Despite this my family all know my love for it and have been fully supportive of my work that I have created and are very pleased with the outcome. I have done many different shoots and have won a local competition in my area for some of my best work. So today I'd thought I'd share some of my work, enjoy!

Hair Of The Day : something different!
So today when I woke up my hair was in the sort of messy curly way and  I kind of liked it which makes a change from my usual bed head! So I decided to try and incorporate my new tartan headband into my messy curly hair and this was how it looks! I never normally wear any hair accessories but I really liked the way this headband looked and will be wearing it a lot more often I think during this Autumn and winter!  Also this post  puts a face to the name of  Dainty Dee whoop whoop!

 Makeup Review!
EYE SHADOW Palette – Beauty UK
So I had just ran out of my MUA eye shadow palette and I was in search for another drug store matt neutrals palette and I came across this one from beauty UK for only £4! You can't go wrong on that price so I tried it out and I am glad to say I was pleasantly surprised how pigmented and how long wearing the colours were for such an amazing price. I must say some colours are more pigmented than others, such as the bottom left dark brown, the gold, the top third peachy pink and the two browns in the bottom left corner. But all the other colours are easily build able for a bolder look.

The palette has seven matt colours and three more sparkly colours which are the silver, the gold and the bronze. I would say that the sparkly silver is quite sheer and it is hard to build up the colour as there is more fallout that the rest of the colours AND  it shattered on the fifth day of use.
Despite the shattering silver I would say that all these colours have a smooth texture and the brush picks up the colour really well. If you are like me and  you are always in a rush then this palette would be perfect for you as the colours blend effortlessly, they are long lasting, they are easily build able and you can change from and every day soft brown eye to a sultry gold, dark brown or golden eye. I would watch out for the silver though as you don't want silver fallout on the tips of your eyelashes or the apples of your cheeks! ;)

Overall this palette is great for everyday wear, it is extremely affordable and it is the perfect travel purse size!

This is a soft brown eye look I did on a friend :).

Dreaming  of the future!

I had a dream that I was on a road. The road  had lots of bends and turns and It was just like the colours and patterns of any other road. Grey with white stripes down the middle but this road was in the air. So I was travelling along this road  when  I saw that the road lead into a dark tunnel. I carried on going and I was travelling at quite a rapid speed and as I turned into the U shaped tunnel at the end of it there was no road.  The road was replaced with metal pipes all interlocked. It looked liked  a roller coaster track but the tracks were removed and the metal tubes and pilers that hold the tracks were left. There was no way a car could drive over it.

Time started to slow down and I was left staring at the metal tubes in horror wondering what to do and where to go. I couldn't turn around because I was in a tunnel. Then I looked over into the distance and  I seen the suns raise hitting of  something shiny on top of  the tubes. It was glass! There was a glass road ahead of me and so I carried on my journey.

So that was a little dream I had yesterday.  The dream carried on a bit after that but its kind of hazy and I remember seeing lots of circles for some reason. Normally I am never one for thinking if something weird happens or if I have a strange dream  that it is a sign of something for my future or well being. But I feel like this dream taught me about my journey in life. I feel like even though I am on this path in my own little world I will have bad times that I won't know what to do. I won't be able to turn around  or go back in time. I will just have to think of what to do, look a little harder and think positive and my journey will continue.

Remember the path to success isn't always straight.
